Odd I never really thought about it. I always assumed it was wrong but when you actually think about it I guess there are no scriptures that say it's all out wrong. Interesting i'm torn now as to what is fully right or wrong in this situation (though I myself may not personally agree with it). Strange

I'm studying right now at the library... Yes, it's 5:02 on Super Bowl Sunday. Fortunately, I recorded the game... and I'll just fast-forward through the commercials.

Nobody would ever say that.

I am so with you on this, Tripp.

Judging others, being prejudiced, staying away from "heathens" for fear of being tarnished, being arrogant, self-righteous, and holier than thou... is that who Jesus was? Nope, He wasn't.

He loved people, even those who were not like him. He forgave sinners. He healed the sick instead of shrugging them off. He reached out and dined with heathens. In fact, they would turn out to be his dearest friends. It was the religious people who loathed Him. Hmm, I wonder why?

Here's my "religion" = Love God. Love others. Jesus summed it up with that, so why would we need more?

Smiles and High Fives,

Ro

Christian. Sounds like what it means, follower of Christ. I saw you at BigStuf and believed you were a christian. I totally respect that you aren't. Mainly because you sound lost. Much like I was. I'm just now starting to understand what it really means to be one. Go read Forgotten God by Francis Chan, since honestly to me it sounds like you have the desire to be a Christian. You have the respect and potential to influence others like no other.

A lot of the time a person's faith is what brings them the most happiness in life and who am I to judge that? Even if I don't neccesarily agree with it. I don't like to ask a person what their religion is because there is so many preconcieved notions of certain, if not all religions, I don't want to get the wrong idea, or view it as a negative thing so I ask "What do YOU believe?" I find that starts an open and understanding conversation from both people. Tolerance is key.
Now it's peoples political views I find the most difficult to swallow sometimes, unfortunately.
