Comedy Character Recipe

I love comedies, but most of them don’t make me laugh. I wish I was an easier audience, but I’m not. However, there is a certain character recipe that zaps my laughter buds every single time.

a pinch of my mood
a dash of my age
a teaspoon of location
4 cups of who I’m watching with
9 gallons of originality
3 tablespoons of satire
some secret ingredient of brilliance that I don’t understand yet

So I had no access to internet from 1am Thursday night until today. I concluded 2 things: Life sucks without internet, and I’m going to post yesterday’s post today.

Taquitos – Often found slowly rolling next to the hotdogs inside gas stations. These thin hard-shelled burritos are simply delicious. So I hear. I’ve never had the guts to buy one.

Rhythm of the Night – Not Prince. Not Jacko. Debarge – the group that also brought us hits like, “Time Will Reveal” and “Stop! Don’t Tease Me”

I have chosen a winner from last week’s “make me laugh” contest.

You people are dirty. Most of your entries were automatic disqualifications. And honestly, I enjoyed every single one of them.

I’ve already posted the winning entry, and, it was a video I have seen before. But, rules are rules, and the goat video made me laugh the hardest. It owns me every time.

Aaron Coury – you have won thirty dollars. I wish more than anything I could show up at your door with a giant check, but those cost $68.

Brilliant comedy. Why don’t I hear anyone talking about this? I know they’ve been around for a while, but their latest video content is “perfectly executed.” **
