All that to say, I feel like I have coffee credibility, and I’m here to tell you Dunkin Donuts Blueberry coffee is my new morning nectar. You should go get some before the day is over AND you should add cream and sugar.

The Sims 3 – I’m not a gamer.  But every now and then I find something that I like to play.  Right now it’s The Sims 3.  It’s more of a false reality than a game.  But I like custom designing humans and helping them go to the bathroom on time.

500 Days of Summer – It’s an intelligent, hilarious, and very moving “anti-Garden State”.  A lovable guy meets a quirky girl, but things don’t work out the way you would expect.  It’s two stories brilliantly woven into one.   It’s reality, but still romantic.  500 Days of Summer is an important film in an era saturated with commitment issues, divorce, and hollywood-stained relationship expectations.

Do not go see this if you go to the movies in order to have the same experience over and over.  Do go see this if you want a refreshing new angle on romance, a good laugh, or if you appreciate good acting, great music, and creative storytelling.

Between 2 Ferns – This is just great.

Michael and Michael Have Issues – A new sketch comedy show on Comedy Central starring one of my all time favorite comedians who barely falls short of my top 10, Michael Ian Black.  You might remember him from VH1, I love the 80s.  I honestly don’t think this show is going to make it, but you should check it out while it lasts.  Hillarious.

Easily the greatest prank I’ve ever seen. (it’s slow at first. keep watching)

I fell asleep on Jess’s couch last night during our Prison Break marathon. About 4:30am I was awakened by the sound of a guy moaning and a hand sliding down the glass part of the front door. This was especially confusing, because at the time I was dreaming about being on the Titanic with Leonardo DeCaprio.

By the time our “guest” started punching the doorknob repeatedly in a boxer stance I was fully awake.  He went from boxing to stumbling around the porch to yelling for someone to let him in. Once I realized this guy wasn’t anyone I knew, I immediately went into Schofield mode and schemed up a plan for getting him to leave without waking the girls who were still asleep in their rooms.

My plan: Hold the (locked) door shut with my hand and yell at the guy to leave. Stealthy and Brilliant.  The silly irrational girls, now awake, called 911.

After 15 minutes of yelling at him and two 911 calls, the cops finally arrived. The drunk visitor swore he knew us, and he tried to prove it by reciting our names, “Billy and Tom.”  I can see how he got Billy out of Jessica, but Tom sounds nothing like Tripp, Tiffany, or Penny.

Oh, and here’s some advice: If you want to cops to get there sooner, give them the correct street address. Now I feel bad for yelling at the 911 dispatch lady.

Only one person guessed correctly who the other artist is, and it was my sister Melissa.  That’s right, I was actually referring on Monday to the King of Pop, Michael Jackson.

Like many, I grew up on MJ, and I plan on forcing my own children to like him.  I’d say he will be missed, but let’s be honest.  He was already missed.  The man has been sick for a long time, and the Michael Jackson we all love is the one who has been gone for a while.

But, his music, his influence, and his eccentric dance moves will continue to inspire.  His three decades of hits will continue to sell.  And as long as I live, I will continue to hold my belt buckle, and horribly imitate the famous leg-kick on the dance floor at weddings.

Strangest MJ move – Yelling on top of air vents that were shooting out smoke.  I’m sure it was a rush for him, but I just don’t think it looked to us like it felt to him.

Most attempted, yet poorly imitated dance move – the moonwalk.  I don’t want to toot my own synthesized horn, but I feel like I’m actually pretty good at it.  See for yourself.
