movie review

- I like to pick my nose.

- I leave beard trimmings in the sink sometimes.

- I’m emotionally high maintenance.

What if these were the first things I told you about myself on our first date?  Or here’s a better question:  Why shouldn’t I tell you these things on our first date?  After all, if things go well you are going to find out anyway.  Why waste days, months, or even years hiding all the things that might eventually break us up?

This is the premise of “Full Disclosure” a short by Douglas Horn.

Brilliant concept – mediocre execution – definitely worth the iTunes rental.

    I feel compelled to disclose that reading this post compelled me to just trim my mustache at my desk. Hrm, sounds like an episode of the Office.

    I done seen that film on an airplane once. I remember it as a touch on the boring side. Probably had something to do with the fact that, as I recall, it's pretty much all dialogue in a restaurant. Seemed like the writer probably couldn't figure out a way to get any of his thoughts on the subject out through action. Or maybe he just wanted to keep the hassle of locations to a minimum. I know I've been there.

    Anyway, as you said, I think it was a great concept AND just so you know, an effective technique. I used it, and now I'm totally getting married! Well, ok, that's actually only half-true.
