Secret Ambitions

As you might guess, I am an aspiring director and comedian.  But here’s the truth – It’s all a cover up.  Like you, I have a secret ambition.

Yeah, I know you’re putting in hard time at the office or in the retreat planning meetings.  I know you’re striving to be the father you never had.  I realize you have the best looking fescue in the neighborhood.  Students, I know that 4.0 comes with hours of studying and pricey copies of last semester’s tests.

But I also know that underneath it all lies your real dream.  There’s something you want that you know you’ll probably never have.  And the truth is you’re too embarrassed to admit it.

My secret ambition is to be a hip-hop star.

There.  I said it.   Now,  it’s your turn.   What is it that you privately dream of doing with your life?  Who do you really want to be?
