Fly much?  Work for an airline?  The airport?  Here are a few rules of etiquette that might come in handy. 


Security Officers

If someone doesn’t have their ID ready at the security check and this makes you angry, it is important that you punish the next 10 people in line by angrily yelling instructions at them with a slightly condescending tone.

Magazine Shop Clerks

Please.  Take your time.

Knights

Try to hurry when putting your stuff back on at the security checkpoint.  You guys tend to take forever.

Airline Executives

People are getting good deals on tickets these days, so you shouldn’t let an opportunity for cash go to waste.  Look carefully for new fees.  Don’t just let your customers get away with free services like checking bags, eating on the flight, or using headphones.

    I work for an airline and I fly too much. I’ll add-
    Businessman who doesn’t travel often:
    During the boarding process, wait until you get on the airplane to take your suit coat off, find that book you are going to read, look for your reading glasses and prep your laptop (that you’ll use only when the plane is beginning descent for landing). The aisle is all about YOU. Ignore the 100 people who want to get to their seats. Upon descent whip out that lap top to flip through pictures of your family until the flight attendant makes the first “please turn off your electronic devices and stow for landing.” Then look at something work related until they have to walk up to you to tell you to turn it off. They are now your witness that you were ‘productive’ on your flight.

    i’ve had more than one person offer to trade me their middle seat for my aisle seat. who in their right mind would take that deal? i’m insulted that you would even propose such a terrible idea. i am no where near dumb enough or kind enough to agree to that.
