Buy a Kindle today.

Really?

Yeah, buy one.  You said you wanted to read more.

So electronics are going to make me read more?

No, but you won’t have to carry books around, so reading can be more convenient.

But I like books.  I like the pages, the smell…

Then smell that book right there.

This one?

Yeah, smell it.

No.

You said you like the smell of books.

Yeah, but that’s my Bathroom Reader.

Then smell this one.

No.

How about this one?

No.  I’m not going to smell a book, just so you can make a point.

What is your favorite smelling book?

Are you really doing this to me?

What is your favorite smelling book?

Um…  The Kite Runner.  I don’t know.

What does it smell like?

I have no idea.

How much does it weigh?

Listen, I’m going to play along at this point.  But I’m not buying a Kindle.

How much does it weigh?

Half a pound.

You’re lying.

I’m not lying.  How can I possibly know how much a book that I’m not holding weighs?

Obviously you’ve never held it.  You probably haven’t even read it.

You’re right.  I’ve never read The Kite Runner.

Do you know how much a Kindle weighs?

10.2 ounces.

How did you know that?

Because it’s in bold on the website.

Do you realize how light that is?

Actually I have no sense of ounces.

You would if you owned a Kindle.  You’d know exactly what 10.2 ounces feels like.

Sold.

I’m going to request a product review. I read books more on my computer than paper and I’ve been thinking about a kindle. Can you put pdf’s on it. Can you convert pdf’s to kindle files?
