I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. “America’s Funniest Home Videos” is still one of the greatest shows on television. (The latest version with Tom Bergeron of course)
A few lessons to be learned from the show:
1. If you are ever jumping on a trampoline and someone is filming you… get off immediately!
2. Teaching your kid to play t-ball is not only cheaper than a vasectomy. It’s way cuter.
3. If your butt is bigger than than your child, don’t sit on swings. Or walk on piers.
4. An ability to build a sweet ramp is not an early sign of intellegence or athleticism.
5. Houses under $50,000 are great for hiding and scaring people.
What am I leaving out?

I was on an episode of AFHV back in 2001….I was an audience member and got to be interviewed by the great Tom Bergeron…changed my life. I will add to this list, if you are ever near a child with a bat and a pinata…get out of the way!!!

Any time an outdoor party has a trailer home in the background, grab your “camcorder” because some sort of rope (swing, tow rope, zipline…) will be involved in an action sequence any redneck would be proud of. Later they’ll try to hit on the hospital nurse in the process of bragging about why they are there.
Just because you have a cat and a ceiling fan, does not mean the poor animal needs to be flung through the air at high speeds.
do people still use the word camcorder?
apparently – I guess it's better than my wording – "you know, one of those little video things where you can just plug it right into your computer and upload it"
maybe we should say, "Flip HD"
When people are doing something that you know will cause bodily harm, the best thing you can do for them is to grab a camcorder.

That 10 seconds of Zany can be seen at least once every episode. That was funny stuff at Catalyst, especially guy in yellow jump suit. Dude was a machine.
Insomnia prone children almost drowning in their dinner is the perfect opportunity to show your parenting skills, by grabbing the camcorder.
Always take controlled, cautious steps at your wedding, especially near the cake.
