Taking Woodstock
Directed by Ang Lee
Starring Demetri Martin.
Only go see Taking Woodstock if you feel like taking a nap. I broke my personal rule and saw this movie with no social feedback, but Tyler and I had a few hours to kill between two hosting gigs
Success! We killed our time. I did leave feeling a few notches more interested in Woodstock, the music festival. Otherwise, I would say this is the most pointless film I’ve seen ever.
On a positive note, the prolonged nude hippie scenes did keep it from being perfectly boring movie, and I think Demetri Martin did have one joke.
At least it’s a Woodstock film, so it can be saved by good music. Wrong. No Woodstock music. I’m pretty sure we never even saw the stage.
If you do have an interest in one of the most fascinating events that has ever happened in our nation, go rent “Woodstock: 3 Days of Peace and Music” on iTunes.
SHORT OF THE WEEK

Boy Next Door
Directed by Travis Davis
Yep. That’s Bull (from Night Court)
It’s a dark comedy about a down and out “average Joe” who seems to be cursed with rejection – even by his pet goldfish.
I found this short surprisingly funny. The acting was over par. It’s definitely worth the $2.

I wanted to see a movie last night but when I consulted the Monday Movie Review…no new updates. Do you think Ebert ever takes a break?
For those that want to know Tripp a little better, he used to bathe in patchouli and dance the noodle in high school. He was a wizard with the devil sticks while wearing his rastafari beanie. and he said "Dude" a lot. A LOT!
