Yesterday, on the lake, our boat’s engine stopped working. One of my friends exclaimed, “Well, worst case scenarios is we just get towed, and we have to wait a week to ski. No big deal.”
Don’t kid yourself.
Worse case scenario – the lake dries up into a black-hole, and we, along with the entire planet, are sucked into eternal damnation.
Worst case scenario… I’m so sick of this phrase being used out of context.
It’s called gratitude people! Things could be so much worse than you even try and say that they could be when using your own imagination to predict the ultimate negative reality. Stop living in a false world that caters to your every need!
Later my same friend had the nerve to say it was “hot as hell”

worst case scenario is I just reached the end of the internet and I found your blog at it…j/k At least I don't have to worry about Jason (Friday the 13th) jumping me in my boat.
The boat mechanic said today, “Worst case scenario, you get the boat back in two weeks.” Kindly sir, that is not true.
I like this post better than your others. More serious than you intended suits you.
so i'm new to the blog so not sure if you'd appreciate my comments just yet. i'm writing from guatemala and when it's not raining here it's well….rather than hot as hell, i often declare it's hot as the devil's scrotum. are missionaries allowed to say that? prob not. let's keep that between you and me. and the internet. ha.
I don't appreciate this comment. Wanna know why? Because you're NEW! Get your young inexperienced thoughts out of here. I'm totally just kidding. There's nothing I like more than new commenters on my blog. Don't be intimidated by those regulars. They barely know what to say anymore. Especially Steve.
At a loss for words
you know…another overused phrase that i hear all the time is "there's nothing i like more than…"
Now I'm afraid of getting sucked into black-holes of damnation when I go to the lake. You may have ruined every vacation I take with my kids now. Thanks.
Another word used out of context is epic. With that being said, I think this post is EPIC!
This post changed my life.
It did come across serious. You suck at writing, you should quit blogging.
Thanks for the Monday morning perspective. Now instead of being mad about something stupid this morning, I just keep thinking well it's better than being sucked into eternal damnation through a lake sized black-hole…
Yeah I know. I feel really weird about it.
Haha this is all so awkward. Awesome.
